How WhereTheyPlay works
A directory that connects families to youth sports organizations, free for parents, low-cost for organizations, and honest about what it is and isn't.
For parents
- 1
Search
Enter a sport, zip code, and distance. Browse organizations near you, no account required.
- 2
Compare
See the teams, age groups and staff an organization has told us about, side by side.
- 3
Contact directly
Message the organization straight from their profile. WhereTheyPlay never touches payment or communication between you and the org.
For organizations
- 1
Sign up
Create your organization account with a secure email link, no password needed. Then pick a plan: $25 a month with a 14 day free trial, $135 for six months, or $250 a year.
- 2
Set up your page
Add your teams, age groups, staff and photos, and post the roster spots you are trying to fill. You edit all of it yourself, whenever you want.
- 3
Get found
Show up when a family in your area searches your sport.
Some organizations already have a page here that we compiled from what they publish themselves. That is a limited set of up to 100 pages. If one of those is yours, you do not start at step 1: check it, tell us what is wrong and we fix it at no cost, and claim it to take it over. Those pages carry no charge for their first 12 months, then $25 a month. Every other listing uses the plans above.
Every page states whether the organization has confirmed it, and any organization can have its page removed the same day it asks, with no account and nothing to prove.
How we keep listings honest
- No parent or player accounts, no individual player names or photos. Team-level information only.
- Staff photos are for staff 18+ only; no minors appear in any photo or are named on any profile, regardless of role.
- All org-submitted photos are reviewed before going live.
- Listings are not endorsements. WhereTheyPlay does not verify credentials and is not a party to any agreement between parents and organizations.
